Technology:
Technology refers to the application of knowledge, especially in a particular area, to the creation and use of tools, processes, and methods. It is the means by which humans modify the natural world to suit their needs.
The word "technology" can refer to both the tools and machines we use (from simple tools like hammers to complex machinery like computers) and the methods or techniques used to accomplish tasks (e.g., the technique of creating fire or the processes behind computer programming).
Technology often builds upon the principles discovered through science.
